Pulsar X2 CrazyLight

Challenge

An independent concept by Tokyo Visual Lab. A Tokyo-inspired campaign exploring how product customization can transform a gaming mouse into a form of personal expression. Created around the idea of a customization platform, the concept was inspired by the idea that players can design a mouse that feels uniquely their own through personalized colors, finishes, and combinations. Rather than focusing solely on performance, we explored how customization could become part of a player's identity, much like fashion, accessories, or personal style.

Gaming peripherals are traditionally marketed through specifications, performance metrics, and esports credentials. While these elements remain important, Pulsar's customization platform opened the door to a different conversation.

If players can design their own mouse, how should that product be presented?

For this concept, we looked beyond traditional gaming advertising and drew inspiration from Tokyo's fashion culture, where self-expression is often communicated through carefully curated details, colors, accessories, and personal styling choices.

The campaign reimagines the Pulsar X2 CrazyLight as more than a gaming peripheral. Through a series of fashion-inspired visuals, the mouse becomes part of the character's identity and personal aesthetic. In some executions, the product is even reinterpreted as a keychain or wearable accessory, blurring the line between gaming hardware and fashion object.

At the same time, the project served as a technical exploration of AI-powered campaign production, demonstrating our ability to maintain product consistency while generating realistic human models, detailed skin textures, premium fabrics, and editorial-quality imagery.

Pulsar designed by you

The final visual series presents the Pulsar X2 CrazyLight through a completely different lens, positioning the product as customizable object of self-expression. By combining product personalization, Tokyo-inspired fashion aesthetics, and lifestyle storytelling, the campaign creates a visual language rarely seen within the gaming peripheral category. The result demonstrates how AI-assisted production can help brands explore new creative territories while maintaining product accuracy, visual consistency, and premium campaign quality. Because when a product is designed by you, it becomes more than a tool. It becomes part of who you are.
